In 1980 with the help of two friends; comic book artist and animator Paul Smith and troubadour, artist representative and editor Barton Jay (Goldsmith) created the book "Balloonacy - The Art of Air Sculpture" which features 30 different single-balloon designs. The book won several awards and was featured in both Playboy and California Magazines.
In 1990 the trio were approached by a video company who wanted to create a companion video to go along with the book which the entitled
"Balloonacy"
In 2010 Paul Gross of Hocus Pocus Magic in Fresno, California introduced the book and video to magic distributor Murphy's Magic who turned them into electronic downloads which are carried by online magic shops throughout the U.S.
